A free-style embroidery piece, I was inspired by colour of the threads, and a desire to do buttonhole stitch around a form.

Time Taken: 3 hours stitching & 1 hr mounting.

Size: 11 x 11cm, 4.5 x 4.5 inches
Depth: 1cm, 6 16th of an inch approx.

Materials: linen, spaced dyed cotton (rowan), space dyed rayon threads, plastic hoops, beads, thread, mounted on acid free card, & felt.

For Sale see my Etsy store.

what a fun piece! i like the spontaneous process, it seems like it would be very freeing for the mind, like doing gesture drawings. my brain could really use a project like that...

how did you do those circles?! buttonhole stitch around some round thing, and then sew on to the fabric?? o_O they are really cute! i love the one where the fabric peaking from underneath is orange.

great project ^__^
